Rosin Pressing Trim

Rosin Pressing Trim

I am new to rosin pressing, so on my website I will be posting my results and findings for others to read. My trim was not frozen, and it was not fresh. It was fully dried for at least 2 weeks.

Tools Used:
3×7 DIY Caged Press Plates Kit – Build 12-20 Ton Rosin Press
20 Ton Hydraulic Harbor Freight Press

Material:
11 grams Low Quality Trim with some small nugs
     Micron Mesh Bags (inverted corners)

Temperature:
     220 @ 1 min
I split the material into 2 bags. 5 grams and 7 grams. I got a very low return pressing the bag long ways for most contact with the plates. I then pressed the remaining 5 grams, and got a better return with the bag being pressed vertical up for the most compaction. However I still received a low return. This is probably due to the material being trim. I probably would never press trim again due to the very low and dark return.

This photo is not the exact return, but it is the same color as what I received from the trim. When dabbed the flavor is okay and the high is still great.

I am still rosin pressing some of my harvest, but I have the best returns by pressing Bubble Hash that was dried for a day or 2.
